Worship Style

At St. John, our worship is rooted in the rich tradition of the Lutheran faith. We use a variety of liturgies from the Lutheran Service Book and use hymns that are singable and rich in meaning. While our services follow a traditional structure, we make them accessible by projecting the order of service and hymn texts on screens. Every element of worship—from prayers to preaching—is centered on Scripture, helping us hear God’s Law and Gospel clearly.

We celebrate Holy Communion at nearly every service (except on fifth Sundays and the preceding Thursday), and we include a children’s message to help young hearts grow in faith. Our worship is reverent yet warm, led with sincerity and love, so that all who gather experience the hope and forgiveness found in Jesus Christ. St. John is a friendly, family-oriented congregation where all are welcome.
