St. John Lutheran Church Staff

Rob Schrader
Pastor
Pastor Rob is from Berlin and grew up going to St. John church and school. He received his bachelor’s degree from the University of Wisconsin – La Crosse in 2015 and spent a year and a half as a Social Studies teacher before attending Concordia Theological Seminary – Fort Wayne. In 2021, he graduated with his Master of Divinity. After serving a congregation in Sheboygan Falls, WI, Pastor Rob, his wife Paige and their two girls moved to Berlin to serve at St. John in 2024. Knowing that Jesus Christ served him to the greatest extent by dying on the cross, Pastor Rob is blessed to be able to serve his Savior in a small way at St. John.

Cathy Young
Secretary
Cathy has served as the church secretary at St. John since the fall of 1997. She was born in Marshfield and raised in Beaver Dam before moving to Berlin in 1985 when her husband, Bob, was transferred for work. Bob is retired from the banking industry and lives with Parkinson’s, and together they have a Feist Terrier named Luna. Cathy values serving at St. John because of the caring people and pastors she has worked with over the years, and she considers the church a true family she will always remain part of.

Ron Gehrke

Ron is from Omro and has been connected to St. John for most of his life. He was confirmed at St. John and has served as a custodian since 1999. Ron has been married to his wife, Nancy, for 54 years, and they have four adult sons and six grandchildren. All of their sons grew up attending St. John. Ron enjoys serving at the church because it helps him stay connected to the church and it’s people and gives him meaningful, active work to do.

Bradley Thiel
Custodian
Bradley has been a member of St. John for 15 years and serves as our custodian. Born in Sheboygan Falls, he has lived in several places, including Illinois, Oshkosh, Minnesota, and Berlin. Bradley enjoys serving at St. John because as he says, “I like my church and I like to keep it clean for all the people. It makes Jesus happy!”

Amanda Tetzlaff
Organist
Amanda is one of our organists and she splits her time between St. John's and Calvary in Princeton, WI. Prior to playing for these congregations, she served as an organist, choir accompanist, and music director at Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Sun Prairie, WI, where she was a member for 17 years. She and her husband relocated to Cambria, WI the end of 2022. As a pastor's daughter, she's seen behind the curtain the time, effort, and care that goes into planning & leading a worship service. Music is an important part of the worship service, and she enjoys being able to use the musical talents God's given her to serve congregations and help lead them in worship and praise to our Lord. Outside of church, she works full-time for a nationwide insurance company within their HR Department as a recruiting team manager.
